Danbury Heads South to Play The Thunder

by Mike Basile

For the first time in Franchise History, the Hat Tricks will experience the Thunderdome! Just over a month ago, the Thunder traveled down to Danbury for a couple of close meetings. The two games were separated by a combined 3 goals. Unfortunately for the Thunder, both wins went to the Hat Tricks. The Thunder will look to turn the tides this weekend and sweep the weekend series.

Preview

Ryan Marker has led the way for the Delaware Thunder with an impressive 23 game point streak since the start of the season. Marker has been nothing short of fantastic all season, but a big part of the Thunder success of late has been secondary scoring. Thomas Munichiello has stepped up very much for this team of late. Patrik Tondl played a huge part in the team's 6-2 win in Port Huron. The Thunder are starting to find their groove at the right time.

The Hat Tricks are coming off a weekend sweep of the 2019 Commissioner Cup winners. They took down the Carolina Thunderbirds at the neutral site games in Bloomington Illinois. The star of the weekend for Danbury was Thomas McGuckin. He gave up one goal all weekend, stopping 63 of 64 shots Friday night and all 54 shots Saturday night. The scoring continues to impress for Danbury with 6 players over 20 points this season.

The Thunderdome will be rocking, make sure you are there! We will have a silent auction both nights for a team-signed stick!

See you this weekend Thunder Fans!
