Delaware Ends Season With A Win!

Danbury, Ct: The season finale for Delaware was in Danbury on a Saturday night! Delaware went to Trevor Babin and Danbury went to Peter Di Salvo. The Thunder struck first on a goal from Nikita Andrusenko just over a minute into the contest.  Artur Aloyan tallied his first pro point on the goal. Nicola Levesque would answer back for Danbury and tie things up at the 6:47 mark. Artur Aloyan would score his first pro goal at the 12:27 mark to make it 2-1 Thunder after one.

  The Trevor Babin show continued in period two. Trevor Babin was incredible, making save after save. Babin stopped all 27 shots in the second period. Di Salvo had a good period as well stopping the eight shots he saw.

  The third period saw the most of the goal-scoring in the game. Not even a minute into the period Jonny Ruiz lit the lamp to tie things at two. Under a minute later, Artur Aloyan scored his second of the game to give Delaware the lead back. Just past the halfway point of the third period Dan Cangelosi added to the Thunder lead. Tobias Odjick helped Danbury get back in the game with a short-handed goal. Nikita Andrusenko put in an empty-net goal to put Delaware up two once more. The Hat Tricks would not go away quietly, Garrett Gallagher scored with 55 seconds left to cut the deficit to one. Trevor Babin would stand strong and hold on to Delaware’s one-goal lead. The final was 5-4 Delaware in their season finale.
