After winning 5 of their last 6 games the Delaware Thunder head into a weekend series with the Mentor Ice Breakers. Delaware is chasing down Mentor for the 4th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Division. Mentor got the best of Delaware Sunday, winning that matchup 6-5. Delaware will look to bounce back against Mentor and get back into the win column.

Preview:

The Mentor Ice Breakers snapped their 16-game losing streak Sunday against the Thunder, thanks to a great showing from newly acquired goaltender Jake Mullen. Austin Weber had a big game as well tallying two goals and an assist. The Ice Breakers have been struggling with their special teams for some time but were able to pot two power-plays goals Sunday afternoon. Mentor will go for back to back wins Friday night in Delaware.

Delaware had their 5-game win streak snapped Sunday in Mentor. Delaware will look for revenge this weekend with their playoff hopes in the balance. The Thunder have added a few new faces to the lineup that played a big part in their recent success. Darius Davidson scored 4 goals in his first game with the Thunder and scored 7 his first weekend. Parker Moskal, who was brought in at the deadline had a solid first weekend himself as well. He scored an added an assist in his first game with the team.
