Preview:

After an opening weekend split with Columbus, The Thunder have dropped four straight. Elmira got the best of the Thunder this past weekend, but Delaware was able to take some positives from the weekend. Resilient is the first word that comes to mind. The Thunder found themselves down 4-0 Friday night going in to the third period. Delaware answered back with the next three, and even after giving up the 5th goal they were able to once again cut the lead back to one. With a good week of practice The Thunder will be looking to mimic that third period for a full sixty minutes.

On the other hand, Mentor is coming off a home and home sweep of Battle Creek, where they scored 15 goals, hitting double digits on Saturday night. Mentor has had no shortage of scoring goals this season, as they have scored 5 or more goals in four of their six games. While they do score a plethora of goals, we can’t over look the play of goaltender Austyn Roudebush. Roudebush posted a 1.84 goals against average and a .936 save percentage through the first six games. Mentor looks to continue their success against Delaware this weekend.
